Action for Girls Gets New Look

Welcome to the inaugural electronic issue of Action for Girls!

Action for Girls, the newsletter of the Working Group on Girls and its International Network for Girls, has a new format and a new publication schedule.  After six years of publishing a print version of the newsletter just three times a year, it seemed appropriate to give careful thought to how to make the newsletter an even more effective communications vehicle for our work on behalf of girls.  The decision has been made to move to an electronic publication which can be distributed more frequently and more economically.  Much of our work, particularly our work at the United Nations is time-sensitive. Publishing just three times a year meant that news was often dated and many of the opportunities for effective action on behalf of girls were lost.

We hope you enjoy this new version of the very popular publication.  You will still find the same kind of up-dates from New York and information about girls from around the world.  We continue to welcome your submissions.  Please send your comments about the newsletter and articles for the electronic publication to wggs@girlsrights.org.
